Loren's background in fine art and dance has inspired her work, which is known for being bold, imaginative and sometimes truly outrageous. Her work includes  nuanced contemporary new works, bold reinterpretations of the classics, sumptuous operas, magical realism made of found objects and everything in between. 
Loren believes in the importance of collaboration, community and representation in her work and life. In addition to making beautiful things happen onstage, she has made two beautiful little humans and has a passion for nature, movement and nurturing the love of those things in others.
